The best way to learn it, is to go through YouTube tutorials from beginner to advanced tutorials. If you have a photoshop, then it's awesome to start with it, since it's the best graphic software you can find. So it will take a big amount of time to master certain things and learn it, but the outcome is worthwhile.

I agree with Shadow. As for myself - I found the best way I learned was to find a design that I like and seek out tutorials on how to generate that image myself. Tutorials are a great way to learn different techniques. I am amazed at how many free guides there are out there.

Same here, I've learned by finding a base theme I like and then slowly customising it over time using a little experimentation and also tutorials. Doesnt take long to pick up the basics and then you're flying!

I learned it by playing with it. I've used Photoshop since then, I tried to use the options one by one, and see what will happen if I do that. Other thing is I find PSD files for education purposes just like above me, wondering how did they do that, until I realize it is done by that.
