That's because:
1. You don't have a custom status field.
2. The ID of your status field is different than the one provided in the tutorial [ic]#field_id1[/ic]

how am i going to change my default field to custom field?

Hello,
You must install the Status Update first following the instructions of the author. After that you will have a new field called "Status". You must make it visible in the posts to be able find the field id number. Then change it in the javascript. I just saw that you haven't install the status update module yet.
