What do you prefer for Graphic Design? What are your reasons? Which is cheaper? Which provide a better experience?

If you were to ask me this question about 5 years ago - I may have told you that the Desktop is better. However, the way they make laptops nowadays...it can pretty much handle any program as well (if not better than certain desktops). When dealing with graphic designs you need to look at specifications inside the computer e.g. RAM, Harddrive Space (Solid state drive), etc. Depending on how far you want to take your graphic designs will determine which graphic design software you should use. I recommend GIMP because it's free.

I personally don't see a difference. Both can produce the same results basically. A laptop can be just as powerful as a desktop and vice versa. I chose desktop though since typically they have a little more power than laptops do and you don't have to rely on a battery. Faster CPU, etc.

I don't really mind the device.
I can use desktop and laptop to their fullest thanks to my experience. Also,I am used to laptop mouse Smile

So,honestly I can't really pick one.But if ever I need to pick one,I will go with laptop Very Happy

It's great for graphic designing.Laptop isn't cheap at all when compared to desktop and it provides great user-friendly interface.

Both desktop and laptop are the same as long as you have a mouse to it . Without it you can't really do much.

These days, you can get the same results from a PC, laptop or even phone really. But I say if you are a serious graphic design person, you would want a desktop that can have more space and ram added to it.

Nothing beats using a desktop for high-quality art. Laptops have always been only about portability. Make the best of what you've got.

Generally, I prefer to use a Laptop. Granted, I don't even own a desktop anymore. I have noticed that when I use my Macbook Pro for design, everything is brighter and looks way different than when I use my HP.

The other thing is that I hate drawing with a trackpad. It's harder for me there than it is for me to use a mouse or stylus. It just feels more comfortable. Plus my laptop has a bad habit of overheating sometimes!
